After suffering the effects of breast cancer, mother and daughter Sylvie Henry and Danielle Leslie founded Future Dreams in 2008 to raise essential funds for further research and new treatments into breast cancer.
Following a diagnosis of incurable lung cancer, Sylvie lost her brave battle in July 2009. Tragically, her daughter Danielle was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in her lungs shortly before her mother’s death and sadly passed away on September 2010. Future Dreams lives on to realise Sylvie and Danielle’s dream of a future free of breast cancer.
Future Dreams raises money for two amazing causes:
Formerly Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Breast Cancer Now is a pioneering charity who research extensively on breast cancer, looking at risk and prevention, early detection and diagnosis, treatment and secondary breast cancer. It is their ambition that by 2050, everyone who gets breast cancer will live. To date, more than £2 million has been raised for this amazing charity.
The only national charity which provides free one-to-one emotional and physical support to improve the lives of anyone affected by breast cancer. Our mission over the next five years is to raise £5 million in order to build the Future Dreams House, a landmark centre in the heart of the new Kings Cross development, specialising in breast cancer, to service North, East and Central London.
